Feb 28, 2024 · In a surprise announcement from Carowinds, the park’s B&M Hypercoaster, formerly known as Intimidator, will receive a new name and backstory in the 2024 season. The coaster will now be known as Thunder Striker.
Carowinds was finally somewhere that enthusiasts could point to on a map as a destination (which would get put on the top of many "must do" lists 5 years later.)
